DIY Search Engine Optimization
There are two approaches to getting your web pages onto the first page of Google’s search results.
One approach is to do it yourself (DIY) – and that is what this page is about.
The other way to get onto page 1 of Google is to get an SEO expert to do all the work for you. There is a Contact link at the bottom of the page if you would like to start a dialogue about getting your site onto the coveted front page of Google for your main search terms. SEO stands for search engine optimization, and it is the process of setting up your website in a way that conforms to search engine guidelines and therefore maximizes your internet results. Not Recommended:
I tried the software method. That’s where you create toolbars and screensavers and other freebies and use a mass uploader tool to submit them to the many free download sites that list this sort of thing. Yes, it does get you listings at those sites but in my admittedly-limited personal testing I didnt see any results that I was pleased with. So I am not recommending that method.
